The AFL FOCIS Flex3 is a compact handheld microscope for inspecting fiber optic connectors. It operates completely independently and enables standards-compliant inspection of end faces on patch cords and in bulkhead adapters without an external display. Just one touch of a button is all it takes: The system automatically focuses, centers the fiber end face, captures the image, performs the analysis, and saves the result. The 3.5-inch color touchscreen display of the Focis Flex3 makes contaminants and defects immediately visible and supports intuitive operation. As a further development of the FOCIS Flex, it offers a larger display and optimized connectivity to current software solutions.

  • Li-Po battery with a typical runtime of 8 hours, a maximum charging time of 4 hours, dimensions of 67 × 32 × 225 mm, and a weight of 280 g

Data can be transferred wirelessly to FlexScan OTDRs or smartphones using the FlexApp and processed into reports in the FlexReporter software. This allows inspection and OTDR results to be combined. The FOCIS Flex3 is suitable for installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting in optical networks, as well as for verifying cleaning processes. The interchangeable tips cover a wide range of connector types. Its rugged design, rated for temperatures from 0 °C to +50 °C, and support for the German language make it a practical tool for field use that ensures quality assurance efficiently and without wasting time.
